They released the Lumia line of smartphones in 2011 that consists of low end to high end devices. The high end device is was the Nokia Lumia 900 which released on January 9th, 2012. The Lumia 900 has a very unique and sophisticated design. It features tapered edges, curved sides, and a flat top and bottom. Windows Phone 7.5 Mango has limitations that include a resolution of 480 x 800, and 720p video recording. Nokia has worked around the screen and video recording resolution by using a dual flash 8MP camera, and a Samsung Super AMOLED disllay with Nokia’s Clear Black screen technology.

The Windows Phone OS was perfectly matched with the Clear black screen, and the true black backround of the ui can blend with the black screen bezel. The screen is very vibrant and colorful and with the true blacks, the titles and tiles really pop out. Compared with other windows 7.5 phones the Lumia 900 has the best screen. It also has an long battery life with its 1,830 MAH battery. This phone like the iPhone 4s has a micro Sim card slot wich pops out when you stick a pin in the jack.

This phone has a 1.4 GHz processor due to yet another Windows Phone 7.5 limitation. Windows Phone 7.5 is a very snappy OS and thebtransitions are smooth and fluid. Nokia has made their Nokia Maps suite of apps available as well. Nokia Drive gives you turn by turn davigation to your destination. Nokia Maps lets you download maps for specific cities and look for at the maps in four layers. Trafic, Landmarks, Satelite, and transit allow you to view these layers individually. There is also a trasit app that allows you to get directions to a destination using bus or train and it tells you the time of arrivals and deportations.

The Nokia Lumia 900 is a brilliant smartphone, and it can appeal to any smartphone user. This phone is for anyone, from the socialite to the developer. If hacking and installing custom roms is your thing Android might be a better alternative although you can still mosldify and hack Windows Phone. Now there is a selection of colors youbcan choose from, cyan blue, black, white, and pink. The Nokia Lumia 900 is one of the best Windows Phone 7.5 phones available, especially at the lowered price point of $50. This phone is definately worth the money but, its esclusive to At&t.

The esclusivity of phones like this will change when Nokia releases its line of Windows Phone 8 devices, however the Lumia 900 might not get the Windows Phone 8 upgrade but Windows Phone 7.8 instead upgrades the UI to that of Windows Phone 8. Windows Phone 8 will be comming out soon so purchasing this phone right now might not be the best choice depending on what you want in your phone. The Nokia Lumia 900 is still a great phone and you will fall most likely fall in love with it.
